"It's fine if you forget, it's fine if you can't feel it
I've patched up the scrapes in my heart

It's okay if I'm hurt, because I no longer feel the pain
Even as I drag my feet along"

Tch... - Miro Himura Ab31Lbf

Definitely on the smaller side, standing at five feet tall or so. This is the general appearance, more particularly for work/missions. Can be seen in more genuinely casual clothing when not on duty but it's rare.

Name: Miro Himura
Age: 24
Allegiance: The Akryu Triumvirate, Himura House

Deck Theme: "Unseen Tempest" - Yosenju, creatures of the wind. They swarm together then all at once disappear, leaving no trace behind. They rely not on the extra deck but merely on each other and the various spells and techniques they share. Pendulum summoning is one such power to assist in the effort of strikely quickly, then retreating to safety.

Partner: "Yosenju Sabu"

Ability: "Mystic Eyes of Usurpation" - Once per turn if you control no monsters you can have your opponent reveal one card at random from their hand. Choose again at random if a card from a previous turn is revealed. During your opponent's next turn if the revealed card is summoned or activated gain 1000 lifepoints (counts only the card revealed for the first time on your previous turn). If your opponent's hand has all been revealed before, nothing happens. If your opponent has no hand, during their next turn, halve all damage dealt to you by direct attacks.

Bond Ability: "Arashi wo tachikiru" - This ability can only be activated once per duel. During your Main Phase, if "Yosenju Sabu" is in an Extra Monster Zone and your lifepoints are 2000 or lower, you can declare the ability's name. If you do, the "Yosenju Sabu" in your Extra Monster Zone gains ATK equal to half the attack of all other face up "Yosenju" monsters and other monsters you control cannot attack. Until the end of the turn, "Yosenju Sabu" cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects and if it destroys an opponent's face-up ATK position monster deal damage to your opponent equal to half the destroyed monster's ATK. You cannot declare an attack or affect your opponent's cards with the effects of "Yosenju" monsters your turn after activating this ability.

Personality: Miro comes off as cold and reserved. For the most part this is all he knows and has ever been. He's kept to himself and focused only on orders and missions. But more than that he feels a need to remain closed off. HIs understanding of positive emotions is sorely lacking and trying to process them puts a lot of stress on him. The more he can brush off with indifference the easier it is for him.

That said, thoughts and feelings tend to linger long in his heart and mind. When he doesn't understand something, Miro spends a lot of mental energy attempting to make it make sense with how his brain works. This gets difficult the more complicated the topic. Things like fighting and hunting, those are simple. Do what you're told, fight who you're ordered to. But more abstract concepts will take a while.

Miro will not become paralyzed from his difficulty understanding however. There are core survival instincts ingrained into him that will take over in stressful situations. He'll make quick judgments when it counts, usually to ensure his own safety but more and more these days the safety of his allies plays a factor as well.

The weasel has no real emotional investment in the act of battle itself. The outcome is the focus. If he can accomplish his task that is worth celebrating. If he fails he berates himself and vows to train all the harder for it. The moment to moment heat of the battle rarely gets to him. He values strategy over raw power as it's how he's gotten by in life.

The facade can be broken when with those in close confidence. Emotions can take hold and let loose so he can feel and express everything he never got to as a child. But confidants are few and far between, even among the rest of his house.

Backstory: A half-dreamborn and illegitimate son to a man of the Himura house, Miro has lived his life as something of an object. Never fully accepted in human society or among other dreamborn and torn away from his dreamborn mother, he had little to do with his life except obey his human father. The relationship was always cold, the boy's existence clearly wasn't something he had planned on. But he could see uses for having a dreamborn among their own ranks. So naturally Miro was trained from basically as young as he could walk to hunt the others of his kind.

Despite this, Miro never much complained. All he knew was hunting so he took enjoyment in it where he could. Even as a boy he was successfully killing dreamborn much larger and stronger than himself through his quick mind and precise strikes. Aided by this was a strange ability that manifested in his eyes, that allowed him to see through the eyes of another being, be they human or dreamborn, so long as they were in sight. Whenever he returned successful he received some small speck of positive reinforcement from his father. He came to live for those briefest of moments where he felt like he'd been of use.

As he got older the missions he was sent on got more and more ugly and violent in their demands. It wasn't long before dreamborn who hadn't terrorized humans were being targeted. In fact these assignments quickly became the norm. Still he had no means to judge his actions, having never been taught properly right from wrong. If his father willed it he obeyed.

Some few years ago, his father's well kept secret got out. Others of the Himura found out what he'd done and had been ordering his son to do. The stories had circulated about the rogue dreamborn randomly killing innocents. This was a great dishonor to the house name and so Miro's father was thoroughly punished. The house took the boy and clothed and fed him properly, things his father had never done for him, and locked him away for some time to determine what to do with him.

The process was slow but they began speaking with Miro, trying to understand who he was and what he'd done and why he'd done it. It was a hard process but he came to understand that his father had been ordering him to do terrible things. Thankfully, the rest of the Himura were willing to give him a proper place among the mercenary group so long as he promised to uphold the honor they stood for. This he did, despite struggling with the many new concepts his family had tried to teach him. Slowly he was learning what it meant to actually be happy and it was difficult to process.

His life had been defined by orders and hunts. And to some respect that was still there. But there were rules now and not always rules he understood. He had lived for his father who had barely shown him any love and now that it was actually offered he couldn't understand it. Still, he could stick to the hunts. The good ones, like he'd done before. He didn't have to get things right away. He had a place to be now that would slowly teach him.
